Who We Are
Microbudget-Movies.com is built and maintained by Freedom Productions located in Monrovia, California.Scott Freiheit started the company in 1966 (at the age of six) when he made his first backyard production with a home movie camera. Over the years a lot of things changed and the company would produce a staggering variety of feature films, short subjects, documentaries, television commercials, training films and music videos but one thing has never changed…the budget! The techniques of successful microbudget movies, developed decades ago, continue to serve Freedom Productions well even in the 21st Century. The hallmark of this philosophy is that you don’t need to impress anyone with appearances as long as you impress them with results. (Something strongly emphasized throughout this web page.) Every new project is part of the learning experience. Every setback hopefully teaches you something that you can build on and every challenge should help you develop new skills that you can use and refine in the future. We hope that sharing some of our experiences will help you avoid some of the mistakes we learned the painful way, but there’s no substitute for experience so get out there and shoot! Scott Freiheit
